You are paid at $21 an hour driving regular van routes. Once you obtain your CDL with Passenger Endorsement, your pay rate is increased to $27.50 an hour.

There are approximately 100 hours of training to get your Passenger Endorsement. This varies per person on how long it will take to complete.

Drivers must obtain applicable state permits and a one-year DOT Medical Card prior to training. We can help you get your DOT Medical Card if needed.

Drivers must be full-time status and have availability to work split shift schedules Mon-Fri with minimum availability of 5am to 8pm.

You will need an approved document that shows proof of citizenship, permit residency or non-domicile document in order to obtain your CDL permit.
If you already have a CDL, but no Passenger Endorsement you will only need to pass the Passenger Endorsement permit test.
If you do not have a CDL you will need to pass the CDL Class B General Knowledge permit test, Airbrakes permit test and Passenger Endorsement permit test.

There is a one year commitment to working at TransWest that begins upon completion of CDL training.
Team members entering the training program will be required to sign a CDL training agreement.

Current CDL drivers without passenger endorsement will still need to complete all the training and requirements to obtain a passenger endorsement on your CDL.
Until you have your passenger endorsement, you will only be able to drive our non-CDL shuttle routes at a rate of $21 an hour.
